This week I have been focusing on diffrent narrative types, The idea of a narritive is the way the producers present the film and how the audience reacts and engages with it. A story is basically the story, for example Terminator without a narrative is , cyborg sent back in time, Kyle Reese goes back to kill cyborg, Kyle Reese saves Sarah Connor and kills the Terminator.
One example of a narrative is the Posov theroy, The narrative is the flow of the story, it begins with Equilibrium->Unequilibrium->Equilibrium.(Equilibrium= when something is equal). This theroy works as the film begins as equilibrium then goes to unequilibrium then back to equilibrium.
This is what i will need to focus on when creating my opening sequence, even though i cannot create the rest of the film, i can create my own interpretation of the rest of the film. One good example was the beginning of Skyfall when bond comes to the safehouse and how it has been attacked and left an Agent down. The clever part about this is that it has left no clues to who has done it. which is something i could inlcude in my opening.
